President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has inaugurated Gakh Olympic Sports Complex, AzerTAg reported.
The Head of State cut a ribbon symbolizing the opening of the complex.
Minister of Youth and Sports Azad Rahimov informed the Azerbaijani leader of the facility`s technical indicators.
Reconstruction work in the complex started in September, 2008.
Photos reflecting attention of national leader Heydar Aliyev and President Ilham Aliyev to development of sports in Azerbaijan were installed in the foyer of the complex.
Gakh Olympic Sports Complex has a 480-seat hall, offices and auxiliary rooms.
President Ilham Aliyev viewed football, basketball, and tennis grounds.
The Azerbaijani leader then met local residents.
Local resident, world all-round fighting champion Ramil Mammadli thanked President Ilham Aliyev for his care and attention.
