President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has attended the opening of the Balaken Center of Culture as part of his visit to Balaken.
The Head of State cut a ribbon symbolizing the center`s opening.
The Azerbaijani leader was informed that construction of the center was launched in July, 2012.
A photo stand was installed in the foyer of the building reflecting care and attention by national leader Heydar Aliyev, President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva, to the development of culture in Azerbaijan.
The center will host theatrical performances, concert programs and also film screenings.
President Ilham Aliyev also met with local public.
Speaking on behalf of Balaken residents, Sabuhi Algayev thanked the Head of State for his efforts to develop regions of the country, including Balaken.
