The results of a poll conducted among Turkish citizens from September 6-12 have shown that around 50.6 percent of the population will vote for the candidates of the ruling Justice and Development Party during the local elections in the country, spokesman for the party Huseyin Celik said, Anadolu agency reported today.
According to the poll, around 24.1 percent of the Turkish population will vote for the main opposition Republican People's Party while 14.3 percent - for the opposition National Movement Party.
Moreover, around 7.1 percent of the population will vote for pro-Kurdish Peace and Democracy Party, Celik added.
The poll was conducted among the population throughout Turkey, he said.
The elections to the local self-government will be held in Turkey in 2014.
