Minister of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan, Colonel-General Ramil Usubov received project coordinator of OSCE's Baku office Alexis Shakhtakhtinski Sept. 11, according to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The report notes that during the meeting Usubov expressed satisfaction with the development of relations between his ministry and the OSCE.
The Azerbaijani Interior Ministry works closely with the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) as well as with the Baku office and missions in a number of countries in order to ensure the safety and protection of rights and freedoms, public order, for a more effective fight against transnational organized crime, and in the result many important projects and activities have been implemented on improvement of police activity.
He added that more than 2,000 employees of the ministry took part in various courses and seminars organized by the OSCE in the country and abroad.
Then head of the department informed the project coordinator of OSCE Baku office of the criminogenic situation in the country, talked about the development of Azerbaijan.
The project coordinator of the OSCE Office in Baku said that fruitful cooperation between the Interior Ministry and the structure which he represents brings practical results in all areas.
He stressed that he would support the further development of this cooperation, the implementation of various projects of mutual interest in improvement of police activity.
