Azerbaijani parliament members will leave for Minsk, Belarus on Oct.9 to observe the presidential election to be held there Oct.11, press service of Azerbaijani parliament said.

The visit of the Azerbaijani delegation will end Oct.13.

In total, 542 journalists from 30 countries and 398 representatives of Belarusian media will cover the election campaign.

The representatives of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization will for the first time participate in observing the presidential election in Belarus.

Four candidates are running for president of Belarus: the incumbent president Alexander Lukashenko, activist of the "Tell the truth" campaign Tatyana Korotkevich, chairman of the Belarusian Patriotic Party and the supreme ataman of Republican Public Association "Belarusian Cossacks", Nikolai Ulakhovich and leader of the Liberal Democratic Party, Sergei Gaydukevich.
