The 7th Global Forum of the UN Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) in Baku gives an opportunity to discuss global issues, to find solutions, as well as to get acquainted with Azerbaijan's realities, Michele Capasso, president of the Mediterranean Foundation (Italy) and the participant of the Global Forum, told Trend Apr. 26.
"This is important that Azerbaijan's government organized such a large-scale and important forum," said Capasso.
He noted that the important answers to the issues facing global community can be found in the Forum.
"I love Baku, which always transforms," said the president adding that this is the city for promoting dialogue and peace.
The 7th Global Forum of the UN Alliance of Civilizations will last untill Apr.27.
The Youth Forum was held on the first day of the 7th UNAOC Global Forum on Apr.25.
Meetings with high-ranking officials, about 30 sessions are planned to be held during the forum.
The Baku Declaration is expected to be adopted during the forum.
Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree on July 24, 2015 to create an organizing committee for holding the 7th UNAOC Global Forum in Baku.
