BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 26. Sincere thanks to President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev for productive cooperation and the initiative on vaccines against COVID-19 within the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), World Health Organization (WHO) Regional Director for Europe Hans Henry Kluge told reporters during his visit to Baku on April 26, Trend reports.
"Azerbaijan has made a valuable contribution to the fight against the coronavirus pandemic. I’m very pleased that Azerbaijan is paying great attention to the health sector in accordance with its strategy until 2030,” Kluge said. “The number of coronavirus infections in Azerbaijan is decreasing every day due to the rapid response in the country and the implementation of the vaccination process, which is taking place at the highest level.”
He added that the WHO delegation will go to Azerbaijan’s Shamakhi to open medical service points.
