BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 25. France's goal is to prevent peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia, the Western Azerbaijan Community said, Trend reports.
Information has spread that on August 30, 2023, representatives of local self-government bodies in a number of regions of France, including Paris, will try to commit a provocation on the conditional border with Armenia in the direction of the Lachin district of Azerbaijan.
"This provocation, organized by Anne Hidalgo, a racist known for her Azerbaijanophobic position, and Jeanne Barseghian, a representative of the Armenian community in France, allegedly aims to deliver "humanitarian aid" to Armenians living in the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan," said the statement.
The community also notes that these individuals and the French government, which is the true organizer of this provocation, are not interested in humanitarian issues at all. If the above-mentioned people were interested in the fate of people, they would protest against the occupation of Azerbaijani territories by Armenia, ethnic cleansing against more than a million Azerbaijanis, and the destruction of Azerbaijani settlements.
"In fact, France's goal in organizing this provocation is to further aggravate the situation in the region, prevent the reintegration of Armenians living in the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan, and establish peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia. The Western Azerbaijan Community calls on France to refrain from this provocation, not to hinder the establishment of peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia, and to support the return of the Azerbaijanis expelled from Armenia to their homes," said the community.
