BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 28. Negotiations on eight villages of Azerbaijan, which are currently under Armenia's control, continue, said Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov during today's press conference on the results of 2023, Trend reports.
The minister noted that the issue of the return of the eight villages under Azerbaijan's control, is raised at all meetings between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
"We believe that this is related to delimitation, and as you know, the issue of delimitation is technical. However, the peace treaty reflects general principles. These eight villages also have their own specificity: four of these villages are enclaves and the other four are not. Our approach is that the process should have a certain sequence and should take the form of mutual discussion. Armenia also has its own claims, its own views on the borders. But now we are talking about settlements," Bayramov said.
