Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev attended a business-forum during his tour of Guba-Khachmaz economic regions. The President informed about goal-directed work by the government for implementation of the state program on socio-economic development of regions, support to the development of entrepreneurship and opening of new
jobs.
The President stressed the necessity of developing the medium-scale entrepreneurship in Azerbaijan, as the economic development of every country is linked with the upgrade of the private sector.
The head of state heard the speeches by the participants in the forum, got familiar with the problems of entrepreneurs in the northern regions, gave proposals and recommendations.
Addressing the forum Farhad Aliyev, the Minister for Economic Development, noted that from 2002 to 2005 a total of 377 entrepreneurs received 23bn manats credits in the northern regions of Azerbaijan. Over the past few years 15,000 jobs opened in Guba District.
In the end of the forum the Azerbaijani President attended the credit fair with 21 agent-banks. Tens of entrepreneurs credits here.
