He noted, on 9 August he telephoned to the representatives of authorities. Heads of three pro-governmental parties вЂ" New Azerbaijan, Ana Veten and Social Welfare refused to participate a the meeting in case the Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan (PFPA, reformists) be present there.

However, they noted the necessity for continuation of talks between political forces. В"We discussed the situation at the Party’sPolitical Council and took a decision to postpone the meeting, as there is no necessity to hold a dialogue without availability of three parties.

The meeting’s format will be not the authority-opposition, but only opposition. We decided the time is needed for relieving the tension. After stabilization of the situation we will try to meet again”, Rustamhanli noted.

The organizations, comprising the Azadlig block, unlike the pro-governmental parties, took a decision to take part in the meeting on 10 August.
