Decision on boycotting of elections not made

“’Builders of Civil Society’ election bloc did not make a decision on boycotting of the 6 November parliamentary elections,” Yashar Jafarli, the head of the central election headquarters of the bloc, told Trend.

The proposal concerning the boycott was introduced by Jafarli at the last meeting of the bloc. The discussion of the issue was put off till 16 October due to absence of the head of the bloc, Isgandar Hamidov. According to Jafarli, the �Builders of Civil Society’ decided to participate in the elections.

Besides, the meeting considered issue of Rasul Guliyev, the ex-speaker, also the leader of the Azerbaijan Democratic Party. “We desire repatriation of all emigrants within the law. We decided that the bloc would participate in the rally of �Azadlig’ (Freedom) bloc to support Guliyev’s rights scheduled for 23 October,” he added.
