On Thursday the UN World Food Program (WFP) expressed gratitude to the Azerbaijani government for the $3m donation granted for three-year aid program covering 130,000 internally displaced people, the UNWFP presentation in Azerbaijan told Trend.
Azerbaijan first became donor giving 2,100 tons of flour, oil and sugar in the amount $800,000. The products were distributed among 130,000 IDPs living in hard conditions in the regions and the villages of Azerbaijan.
“We are grateful for this donation and hope that it will help to our activities aimed at rendering of help to the Azerbaijani IDPs,” Amir Abdulla, the Regional Director of the program on Near East and Central Asia.
