On Friday Akif Nagi, the chairman of the Karabakh Liberation organization (KLO) received an answer to the address sent to the French embassy in Azerbaijan 2 days ago, KLO told Trend.

Nagi required explanation on the decision of the Valans city administration on recognition of separatist regime in Nagorno Karabakh. Rolan Blatman, the French Ambassador to Azerbaijan, replied that the people working at elective office do not submit to the government in France and their statement could not affect the liabilities and the official position of the French government. “France supports territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and does not recognize independence of Nagorno-Karabakh in this view. In short, no country, including Armenia, recognized their independence,” the Ambassador noted. The diplomat also stressed that French as Minsk Group member-country participated in the regulation of the conflict in peaceful way.

KLO appreciates urgent reply of the French embassy to their inquiry, but the same time, it is not agree that the French government does not responsible for the activities of the people working at elective office and regards this position as insincere.
