Roundtable on struggle with corruption held

On Monday a roundtable on violations in regard to corruption and responsibility of responsible people was held at the International Press Center with participation of the representatives of the Prosecutor General’s Office and nongovernmental organizations, Trend reports.

Mubariz Ahmadov, the Prosecutor of the Information-Analytical Division of the Department on Struggle with Corruption under the Prosecutor General’s Office, came out at the event. He noted that the Azerbaijani government joined some conventions and unified the national legislation with the conventions in order to end with the corruption in the country.

“The items of the bill on struggle with corruption have already been executed. The Committee on Struggle with Corruption was established within the Prosecutor General’s Committee in this regard. The same time, the President approved state program on struggle with corruption,” he stressed.

Ahmadov also noted that serious measures were taken by the government in this sphere, particularly, raising of conditions stimulating corruption, conducting of reforms in the state bodies and provision of transparency at admission to state service.

The speeches were dedicated to the attraction of the society to the struggle with corruption and enlightenment.
