Рђzerbaijan attaches large significance to the comprehensive development of relations with Ukraine, the Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov said in a statement while receiving the copies of credentials from the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Azerbaijan Stepan Volkovetski, the press service of the of Azerbaijan Foreign Ministry told Trend.
The Minister noted especially the existing potential for the development of cooperation in political, humanitarian and economic fields.
The head of the Azerbaijan Foreign Ministry and the Ukrainian diplomat held exchange of views on the issues of preparations for the scheduled official visit of the Ukrainian president Victor Yushenko to Azerbaijan and the energy transit.
