Polish economic minister to discuss issues of energy security & co-op at MIE & SOCAR
On Thursday Ilham Aliyev, the Azerbaijani President, received Petr Voznyak, the Polish Economic Minister, who is on visit to Azerbaijan. The Minister also met with Oktay Asadov, the chair of the Milli Majlis [Parliament], and his Azerbaijani counterpart Heydar Babayev, the Polish embassy in Baku told Trend.
Voznyak is expected to meet with Mahmud Mammadguluzade, the Deputy Foreign Minister, the embassy said. The guest also laid wreaths on the graves at the Alley of Martyrs and the grave of Polish engineer Pavel Pototsky, the prominent figure of the Azerbaijani oil industry.
On Friday Voznyak holds meetings with Natig Aliyev, the Minister of Industry and Energy, and Rovnag Abdullayev, the head of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR). The sides are supposed to discuss a possibility of the implementation of the bilateral projects and cooperation, the embassy stressed. The negotiations will also concern energy safety in the view of possible cooperation in this sphere. Voznyak will also visit Sangachal terminal on Saturday.
