Korean president: We have something to offer Azerbaijan

Talks in large between the government groups of Azerbaijan and Korea headed by President of the two countries Ilham Aliyev and Roh Moo-Hyun was held on 11 May at the Azerbaijani Presidents Apparat, Trend reports.

The Korean President stressed that the key aspect of his visit to Azerbaijan is that it comes as the first of its kind.

The Korean delegation includes a number of representatives from the Koran companies.

We have something to offer Azerbaijan. We suppose our hopes will be justified, Roh underlined. During the visit there will evolve opportunities to discuss bilateral relationships in the spheres of economy, culture, as well as the fields which unite the countries.

In his address Aliyev stated that Azerbaijan and Korea have great economic potential for upgrade of bilateral relations. This visit will enable to develop the relationships, he noted. The President voiced his hope he relationships with Korea will expand rapidly in all spheres.

In his turn Roh invited Aliyev and members of the Azerbaijani government to visit Korea.

Korean President arrived in Baku with an official visit on 10 May. In compliance with his visit program, the heads of states will host a signing ceremony of several bilateral documents and give a joint briefing. The Korean President also intends to participate in an official dinner party with the representatives of business circles of the two countries. later he will visit Sangachal oil terminal near Baku.

In the evening Roh Moo-Hyun will participate in an official reception to be given by the Azerbaijani President. On 13 May the Korean President intends to meet with the Azerbaijani speaker Oktai Asadov.

The Korean President will leave Baku for the United Arab Emirates.
