Heads of Special Service of CIS member-countries worked out mechanism of mutual activity against international terrorism, extremism and narcotic trafficking

The heads of the special service of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) member-countries worked out in Dushanbe the mechanism of the mutual activity against the international terrorism, extremism and narcotic trafficking. According to information provided by RIA Novosti, the head of the Russian Special Service Nikolay Patrushev informed journalists about this issue after the 20th anniversary meeting of heads of special service and security bodies (SSSB) of CIS countries.

The confidence and mutual understanding further raised the level of cooperation within the SSSB, told Patrushev.

Our meeting started with a meeting with the Tadjikistan president Imamali Rahmonov who is well aware of the problems and threats of CIS, Patrushev noted.

Tadjikistan president called for more effective activity of SSSB.

The effectiveness will be obtained if we use all forms of the operative measures and exchange information. The question discussed at the meeting was of interest to all participants, said Patrushev.

During the meeting, there was made an agreement on protection of confidential information and on conceptual equipments.

Besides, Patrushev stressed that the next meeting of SSSB would be held on October 21 in Baku. The heads of the special service and security bodies took part at the meeting.
