The program of the official visit of Lithuanian president Valdas Adamkus to Azerbaijan has been drafted, representative of Lithuanian presidents press service Antanas Martusevicius said in his exclusive interview to Trend.
Head of Lithuanian state is arriving in Baku at noon, June 8 and first bringing flowers to grave of ex-president Heydar Aliyev. After that, he will meet with President Ilham Aliyev face-to-face and take part in extended meeting with Azeri officials. The program for that day also includes the meeting with speaker Ogtay Asadov and banquet given on behalf of President Ilham Aliyev.
On June 9, president Adamkus is taking part in Azeri-Lithuanian business-forum, visiting H.Aliyevs Fund and business-lunch with Prime Minister Artur Rasizadeh. Then, Adamkus will be granted a title of Honored Doctor of Science in Baku State University. Afterwards, the program includes visiting Sangachal oil terminal and excursion in Baku center. Lithuanian president is heading back to Vilnius evening June 9.
In the course of his visit, Lithuanian president will be accompanied by 15 businessmen, 14 journalists and high officials of Lithuanias ministries.
