4th session of workgroup for National Association of Municipalities of Azerbaijan to pass June 28-29 in Ganja

4th session of workgroup for creation of National Association of Municipalities of Azerbaijan (NAMA) is starting June 28 in Ganja. Trend reports with reference to secretariat of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities (CLRA) with the CE, the session will last two days.

Workgroup of NAMA consisting of 25 members of municipalities was established with support of said Congress.

The final draft of association charter is put for examination of the 7th seminar of NAMAs executive group to pass in January 2007, and then it will be directed to NAMAs Forum for approval.

Third meeting of workgroup was held in Baku May 6 to 7, 2006 and NAMA project manager Carolyn Martin stated the planning association establishment by 2007.

By the totals of the second session of the workgroup (February 8-9, 2006, Baku) its management was elected. Tahir Guliyev was elected the head of group, and Gulnaz Salamova, Shamistan Yusifov and Ramil Mustafayev his deputies.

Heads of the workgroup already attended the CLRA session that passed February 23-24, 2006 in Strasburg.
