A total of 34 Azerbaijanis have been evacuated from Lebanon, which has imposed to bombing by Israel, the Honorary Consul of Azerbaijan in Lebanon in, Nazih Gassub, told Trend.
14 Azerbaijanis more are to leave Lebanon and they will be sent to Moscow through the Russian embassy in this Lebanon. Earlier approximately 19 Azerbaijanis, with passport problems were to leave Lebanon for Syria, while the latter did not accept them.
The honorary consul said that the telephone communications within Lebanon has been fully destroyed as a result of bombing. It actually complicated contacts with Azerbaijanis residing in this country. The honorary consulate placed their coordinates on TV and radio with hope that the Azerbaijanis desiring to leave the country will appeal to the Consulate.
Gassub also announced that he is to complete a report on the sate of Azerbaijanis in Lebanon to present to the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
