Nearly 4000 observers from New Azerbaijan Party (NAP) will observe the repeat, new and additional municipal election scheduled for 6 October 2006, the head of NAP Press-Service Huseyn Pashayev told Trend.
He stressed that NAP has already completed preparation works in all polling stations where the candidate of NAP participates. We are in the stage of completing propaganda compaign. The party has once again discussed the preparation to the elections, Pashayev said, adding that the Head Advisor of NAP Central Office has received the status of special observer.
The first constituent conference of NAP was held on 21 November 1992 in Nakchivan Autonomous Republic. The Chairman of the Nakchivan Supreme Assembly Heydar Aliyev was elected the Chairman of NAP. At present, NAP is chaired by the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. NAP has ore than 500.000 members.
