Information about preliminary results of the municipal elections will be published the election day`s tonight, Mazahir Panakhov, Chairman of Azerbaijan`s Central Election Committee (CEC) told during the today`s press conference,Trend reports.
He told that the preliminary results of the polling day will be placed on CEC`s Internet site as well. However, people prefer to hear the exact data from an official live. That is why, I am going to appear on the national TV in the evening of the polling day and will inform about the preliminary results. In addition, Sechkilar (Elections) Information Centre will constantly hand over information, told Mr. Panakhov.
Mr. Panakhov told that in connection with the forthcoming municipal election to be held on October 6, CEC held measures aimed at instructing the lower election committees, constituencies and the community. The CEC members appeared on AzTV, Ictimai (Public) TV, as well as in the periodical press. CEC held trainings to the lower election committees and constituencies, issued and distributed 3- volume instructions collection. The CEC group which held trainings clearly explained all the procedures from the opening of polling stations on the polling day to the calculation and sending of protocols to the constituency after the completion of the polling.
Re-run, new, by-election, and first election will be held in 603 municipalities of Azerbaijan tomorrow (October 6).
