During the negotiations being held in Baku, a wide spectrum of different issues were discussed. We are interested in carrying energy carriers from the Caspian region, Romania`s President Traian Basesku told during the joint press-briefing held in Baku today, Trend reports.

A great attention is paid to carrying crude oil. Romania may render its assistance to Azerbaijan in its carrying energy carriers to Europe. At present, Europe depends on import on 50 percent. Thus figure is expected to go up in the future, he told.

According to the Romanian President, Romania will continue supplying Azerbaijan with new technologies, and will do all possible to further Azerbaijan`s integration to Euro Atlantic organization, for its part.

According to Mr. Basesku, Azerbaijan plays an important role in political security and energy issues in the region. Romania has always very seriously treated to the integrity issues. We have good relations with Albania, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Armenia, and other countries. But good relations cannot serve against fundamental principles, pointed out the Romanian President.
