Outcome of Azerbaijani President's Official Visit to UAE to Be Broadcast in due Course Azerbaijani Ambassador
Eldar Salimov, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Azerbaijan to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), exclusively informed Trend that that the results of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev's official visit to United Arab Emirates (UAE) will publicized soon. He was commenting on President's Aliyev's visit to the UAE on 20-21 November 2006.
The results of the visit have been positive. A number of agreements were signed covering many objectives. It testifies that a larger specter of directions has been defined on a legal basis and should be developed, the diplomat stated.
During the talks, special attention was paid to trade and economic co-operation. The experience Dubai has in the economic development was very interesting and the program includes visits to free economic zones of Jebel Ali, meetings with representatives of the Emirates, the top businessmen of Dubai, business forum of Abu-Dhabi. Salimov said that contacts between some companies have been confirmed.
The Ambassador noted that the political relationship between the two countries is on a high level and the two Presidents reiterated this during the meetings. The Emirates support Azerbaijan in the Nagorno-Karabakh issue and successful work is done within the framework of international organizations, Mr. Salimov stressed. The mutual interests of mutual interest and there are opportunities for development of co-operation.
