I consider that it is high time for my active participation in the activities of Azerbaijan Democratic Party (ADP) and therefore, I am returning to ADP, former member of the opposition ADP High Assembly and Editor-in-Chief of Baki Kheberi newspaper, Aydin Guliyev.
He stressed that despite the fact he announced his resignation from the ADP High Assembly a year ago, ADP Chairman, Rasul Guliyev, did not accept his resignation. Therefore, I kept the right to restore my activities as a member of High Assembly. I consider that it is high time to restore my activities in ADP. Therefore, I am actively participating in preparing a meeting of the ADP High Assembly to be set for next week, he said.
Guliyev had announced his retirement at the meeting of the ADP High Assembly on February 3rd, 2006. However, ADP Chairman, Rasul Guliyev, did not accept his resignation.
Created in 1991, ADP is a member of the Azadlyg Political Block. Chairman of ADP and ex-Speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament, Rasul Guliyev, has been living as an emigrant since 1996.
