CIS Council of Foreign Ministers of Member-States to Discuss about 20 Issues on Development of Commonwealth

Azerbaijan, Baku/ Trend , corr. S. Aghayeva / About 20 issues are expected to be viewed during the next regular meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of CIS Member States to be held in the Kazakhstan Capital of Astana on April 25.

The draft agenda has been prepared by the CIS Executive Committee and Council of Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives of CIS Member States, a source in the Executive Committee of the Commonwealth has stated today. The Council of Foreign Ministers of CIS Member State is expected to make its final decision on five issues. The Foreign Ministries of CIS countries will discuss issues connected with the activity of the Council for Cultural Co-operation of CIS Member States and Interstate Council for Emergency Natural and Man-made disasters, as well as take decisions on the reports prepared. Participants of the forthcoming meeting will view the issue to implement the Plan of Multilevel Inter-Foreign Offices Consultations within CIS for 2006 and Consultations Plan for 2007. During the forthcoming meeting, documents concerning the activity of the CIS collective peacekeeping forces in the conflict zone of Abkhazia.

Issues connected with preparing for the staff, co-operation in the field of education, joint cinema production, foundation of the Council of Chiefs of State and Public TV and Radio Organizations of CIS Member States. If they are approved by the Council of Foreign Ministers of CIS Member State, then they will be considered by Prime Ministers of CIS Member States.

The CIS Foreign Ministries will also discuss the agenda of the regular meeting of the Council of Prime Ministers of CIS Member States to be held in the Ukrainian Southern Resort City of Yalta on May 25, 2007.
