PACE to Organize Conference on Intercultural and Inter-religious Dialogue In St-Petersburg
Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr I.Alizadeh / MP Rafael Huseynov, an Azerbaijani parliamentary representative to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), reported from Strasbourg 20 April that the date, venue and co-rapporteurs for two international conference to be organized by PACE have been defined. He said that the issue had been discussed at the PACE spring session and corresponding decisions had been made.
The first conference will be held on 30 May-1 June in Saint Petersburg, Russia. The conference will be organized within the framework of intercultural and inter-religious dialogue. Along with the PACE delegates, the representatives of parliamentary commission on culture, international organizations, and culture centres will be in attendance.
Huseynov noted that a report on Azerbaijani Model of Intercultural and Inter-religious Dialogue would be delivered at the conference.
PACE's spring session, where the most actual topics, including Azerbaijan's obligations to the CE were discussed, was held on 16-20 April. Azerbaijani MPs Samas Seyidov, Gultekin Hajiyeva, Sabir Hajiyev, Ganira Pashayeva, Rafael Huseynov, and Ali Huseynov represented Azerbaijan at the session.
