Ukraine, Kiev / special corr Trend E Huseynov /Someone can expect the comlication of the Russian -Ukrainina relatrions, but they will not. The Ukrainian President made this statement in an interview for Trend and several Azerbaijani television channels. He was commenting on prospects of the Ukrainian - Russian relationships.

"On the other hand it has been almost difficult to form dynamic relations with Russia. It is an uneasy issue. There many questions that have not been resolved and remain to be problemsе, many issues unfortunately do not meet economic goals of the two countries, many issues appear as new initiatives and new opportunities," the President stated.

There is a good venue for the relations and there is a normal dialogue on the level of Presidents. "There is a Putin-Yuschenko commission, which designed a 2-year action plan of 23 issues, which are very actual in our bilateral relations, including the economic bloc. We should seek new ways, new cooperation, new interesting mutual markets," Yuschenko noted.

At the same time the head of state said that Ukraine's strategic goal is the integration on to the EU. At present over 30% of Ukraine's foreign goods turnover falls on the European market, which makes number 1 partner in the foreign economic relations. "Our near-prospect goals are the entrance to the World Trade Organization, commencement of talks with the EU with respect to the free trade zone, signing of an agreement on deepening of a Ukraine-EU agreement, adoption of new agreement on liberalization of a visa regime with the EU countries. I would say, the final point of deepening of the agreement will be obtaining of European prospect for Ukraine," the President stressed.

The President stated that currently Ukraine has a difficult foreign policy task. "On the one hand we understand that western part of Ukraine borders with the European Union, one of the large world markets where Ukraine's strategic prospects are. We should do all possible to get adapted to this market, become its formal participant and obtain a political membership in the association of the EU. On the other, in its east Ukraine neighbors with the market, which is very important and strategic for it and Kiev would like to have larger prospects here. Unfortunately these two markets function on different formulas and while designing the unified economic area we come out from the aspect that it is acceptable in the extent which does not contradict our integration to the EU. It evolves a formula of allopelagic, and diversified integration regarding the projects on economic area," Yuschenko noted.

The Ukrainian -Russian relations has entered a qualitatively new political phase, which is well-considered, predicted and open. "The statements, which are taken as basis for the formation of Ukrainian policy with respect to Russia, are honest, open, and clear for the Ukrainian and Russian communities. These are relations of neighbors, economic and political partners, where we would like to feel adequacy and such openness," the President emphasized.
