Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. К.Zarbaliyeva / President Ilham Aliyev has issued a decree on the implementation of supplements and amendments in the law on 'State Service'.
In compliance with the President's decree, the Cabinet of Ministers must submit proposals to the President in order for the current legislative act to correspond with the aforesaid law. Additionally, the Cabinet of Ministers and the central personnel of the Executive Power must present the legal act.
Bahram Khalilov, the Chairman of the Commission on State Service at the President, has stated that according to the law, the Ombudsmen's Apparatus was originally included into the State personnel of the third category. In compliance with the new law this is now included in the first category. The President's Executive Administration, Milli Majlis (Azerbaijan Parliament), Constitutional Court, Supreme Court and Legal Council are united in this category.
The amendments also envisage certain changes in the classification of the duties of state personnel. The State personnel are divided into 7 categories in compliance with the law on 'State Service'. Administrative and auxiliary state personnel have nine classifications.
