Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. E.Huseynov / The next meeting regarding the joint commission on delimitation and demarcation of borders will be dedicated to discussions of the uncoordinated three plots of the Azerbaijani -Russian border.
Khalaf Khalafov, the Azerbaijani deputy Foreign Minister and the chairman of the International Commission will represent Azerbaijan at the meeting, which will be held in Makhachkala in July.
The commission held 12 meetings, which settled many border disputes. The latest meeting was held in Baku in March. It was decided to discuss at the next meeting, the three uncoordinated plots which make up 5% of the border. One of the third uncoordinated plots is the bridge across the Samur River. The second is the woodland in the Azerbaijani Khachmaz region and the last is in the Azerbaijani Balakan region on the crossing borders of three countries, namely Azerbaijan, Georgia and Russia.
Alexander Yakovenko, the co-chairman of the commission and the Russian deputy Foreign Minister, has stated that the 13th meeting of the commission on the delimitation of the Azerbaijani-Russian borders will be held in Makhachkala on 11 and 13 July.
Khalafov said that after the meeting of Azerbaijani-Russian commission of delimitation and demarcation of borders, a similar meeting would be held with Georgia.
