Israel, Jerusalem / Trend corr. Y.Mishiyev / The USA and Israel signed an official agreement regarding increase of military assistance in near 10 years term by $30bln.
Attending the signing ceremony Stenli Fisher, the chairman of the Israeli Bank, Aron Abramovich, the director general of Foreign Ministry, Pinhas Buhris, the director general of the Defence Ministry, as well as Richard Jones, the USA ambassador to Israel.
In compliance with the new agreement the USA will allocate some $600mln for ten years term. The first payment will be $2,550bln. The sum will be increased by $150mln annually and from 2011 to 2018 will be allocated by $3.1bln.
Despite all requests of Israeli Government only 26.3% of assistance will be allocated for purchasing of defence production of Israeli production.
Nicolas Berns, the deputy State Secretary of the USA, has stated that USA is intended to render assistance to Israel in future.
