The Tbilisi City Court sentenced Vakhtang Maisuradze for 90-day imprisonment for disorderly conduct in presence of President Mikheil Saakashvili at the Marjanishvili Theater. Maisuradze voiced dissatisfaction over the crackdown on peaceful protest in Tbilisi on May 26.

Offenders Giorgi Lapiashvili was fined in the amount of 400 lari and David Patsatsiya was found not guilty.

They voiced dissatisfaction over the law enforcement officers' actions to disperse the rally when they met with President Saakashvili in the theater lobby. Saakashvili come to the Marjanishvili Theater to attend the Days of Ecuador in Georgia.

According to eyewitnesses, the president did not answer the citizens who then squabbled with the law enforcement officers.

The clashes between the opposition and law enforcement agencies on May 26 killed two people and injured several.
