GABALA, Azerbaijan, July 9. Competitions are the key factor in our growth, gymnast Ulker Haziyeva, representative of the Olympic Training and Sports Center Kur, told Trend.
She became a bronze medalist in the 8th Rhythmic Gymnastics Regions Cup in the junior category (born in 2013).
"Competitions are the spice of life in our journey towards success. Through them, we become stronger and strive to be among the best gymnasts in Azerbaijan. I owe my success in these competitions to coach Aygul Babasheva, everything was organized at the highest level so that we could prove ourselves. The competitions were very intense and lively. I am proud that I took third place, it is an important step for me on the way to further success," she said.
To note, the 8th Rhythmic Gymnastics Regional Cup started on July 9 at the nation's Gabala Olympic Sports Complex.
The competition features 66 gymnasts representing Shaki, Oghuz, Gabala, Shirvan, Masalli, Absheron, Ganja, Lankaran, and Shamkir Youth Centres & Sumgayit Olympic Sports Complexes, as well as Ojaq Sports Club (Zagatala, Agdash, and Shamakhi regions), Ganja Olympic Sports Club and Kur Olympic Training Sports Center.
