BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 27. With the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, the Ministry of Culture, and the Baku Music Academy, Azerbaijan's Gabala city will host the inaugural "Winter Tale" International Music Festival from February 7 through February 10, 2025.

The festival will continue the tradition of the Gabala International Music Festival, held annually since 2009, and bring together art enthusiasts from around the world.

The "Winter Tale" festival will feature globally renowned musicians, conductors, and musical ensembles from Germany, the United Kingdom, Italy, Poland, and Russia, in addition to Azerbaijani performers.

Notable performers include:

Farhad Badalbeyli, Emil Afrasiyab, Murad Adigozalzade, Nazrin Aslanli, Nigar Jafarova, Yegana Akhundova, Yusif Eyvazov, and many others, with musical ensembles like the Symphony Orchestra of the Azerbaijan State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater, the Baku Chamber Orchestra, students from the Baku Academy of Choreography, Azerbaijan's Instrumental Ensemble "Gaytagy," and the "Euphoria" ensemble representing Germany and Russia under the direction of Aydar Gaynullin. Also performing will be Dmitry Sitkovetsky from the United Kingdom, Anastasia Bartoli and Sergio Vitale from Italy, and the "Glassduo" ensemble from Poland.

Program:

The program will offer a diverse and captivating program across its cultural venues, featuring evenings of vocal and chamber music, as well as ballet performances. The lineup includes excerpts from Gara Garayev's ballet "Seven Beauties," Niyazi's "Arzu," Uzeyir Hajibeyli's opera "Koroghlu," and selections from Antonio Vivaldi's "The Four Seasons". Additionally, the festival will showcase iconic pieces from Giacomo Puccini's opera "Turandot," Giuseppe Verdi's "La Traviata," and Pyotr Tchaikovsky's ballet "The Nutcracker". The program will also feature musical compositions by renowned composers such as Edvard Grieg, Frédéric Chopin, Johann Sebastian Bach, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and others.
