Azerbaijan's AzerGold company to finance eco-monitoring of local ore deposit

BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 6

AzerGold CJSC, an Azerbaijani company that extracts, processes and sells gold and silver, will allocate funds for eco-monitoring of the Garadagh ore field, Trend reports referring to Azerbaijan’s State Service for Antimonopoly Policy and Consumer Rights under the Ministry of Economy.

The cost A corresponding contract worth 282,020 manat ($165,890) was signed between AzerGold CJSC andIglim LTD, Azerbaijani research, consulting and engineering company specializing in environmental change and problem-solving.

AzerGold CJSC, which began operations in July 2016, is engaged in the study, research, exploration, management of the gold and ferrous-ore deposits in Garadagh, Chovdar, Goydagh, Daghkasaman, Kohnamadan sites and the Kurekchai river basin, as well as in processing and sale of precious metals, the application of new technologies in this area, improving the material and technical base and other work related to the development of this sphere.

Since 2017, AzerGold CJSC sold more than 173,000 ounces of gold and 290,000 ounces of silver.
