BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 13. Turkish ports handled 1.2 million tons of cargo from Georgia from January through June 2022, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Türkiye told TurkicWorld, Trend reports.
According to the ministry, ships flying the Turkish flag delivered 545,833 tons of cargo from Georgia to local ports, and ships flying the flags of other countries - 666,777 tons.
Vessels flying the Georgian flag did not deliver cargo to Turkish ports during this period.
Turkish ports handled 734,764 tons of transit cargo from Georgia.
The Turkish ports handled 32.8 million tons of cargo in June 2022.
Cargo transportation by ships under the flag of Türkiye amounted to 331,858 tons during this period.
Cargo transportation through Turkish ports by ships under the flags of other countries amounted to 30.5 million tons.
Turkish ports handled 6.3 million tons of transit cargo in June 2022.
