BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 26. A total of 675,194 tourists have stayed in Azerbaijani hotels since the beginning of 2022, Trend reports citing the State Tourism Agency of Azerbaijan.
According to the agency, 327,453 people, were foreigners.
"During the reporting period, over one million nights were spent in the country's hotels. More than half, or 566,135 nights, were spent in Baku. The share of foreign guests accounted for 503,526 nights across the country and 402,067 nights only in Baku," the agency said.
In addition, it was noted that the number of tourists visiting Azerbaijan reached 1.5 million people.
"Of these, 404,095 are citizens of Russia, 283,493 are citizens of Türkiye, 210,919 are citizens of the Middle East countries, 157,892 are citizens of Iran, 105,808 are citizens of Southeast Asian countries, 60,365 and 58,394 are citizens of Eastern and Western Europe, respectively," noted the agency.
