BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 10. A resident of Sumgait Chemical Industrial Park, AK Pack LLC, has started testing and commissioning equipment in order to launch an enterprise for manufacturing flexible polymer packaging, Azerbaijan's Economic Zones Development Agency told Trend.
According to the agency, it is expected that the warehouse for raw materials and finished products will be built in the near future.
"The two production lines of the enterprise will manufacture more than 20 types of products using Italian and Turkish technologies. A total of 35 people will be provided with permanent jobs. In addition to the sale of manufactured products on the domestic market, it is also planned to export them to the countries of Central Asia, the Middle East and Europe," the agency added.
AK Pack LLC obtained resident status in May 2022. The commissioning of the enterprise is expected in the first half of 2023. Its investment value surpasses 7 million manat ($4.1 million).
Another resident of the Sumgait Chemical Industrial Park, Universal Packing Industry CJSC, plans to launch activities of its enterprise in the first quarter of 2023. In general, the investment value of the project is 4.25 million manat ($2.5 million). At the first stage, 50 people will be provided with jobs at the enterprise. In the future, it is expected to increase the number of employees to 80.
