BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 12. SMEs wishing to start a business and expand their entrepreneurial activities in Azerbaijan can use the services of the SME Development Centers within the Azerbaijan Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA) free of charge to improve their knowledge and skills in this area, the SMBDA told Trend.
According to the agency, the services include trainings, consultations, support in developing a business plan and others.
From January through March 2023, the SMBDA organized 69 trainings in order to increase the level of business knowledge of SMEs and awareness about the field of entrepreneurship.
These trainings were used by 825 SMEs and persons wishing to start a business.
They mainly cover areas such as sales, marketing, accounting, personnel management, branding, business innovation, business plan development, project management, and others.
In the first quarter of this year, 243 business entities were provided with consulting services on the creation and development of business.
During this period, the agency provided appropriate support for the development of 47 business plans.
The SMBDA was established under the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev dated December 28, 2017.
