Uzbekistan to reform its construction industry

The Ministry of Construction of Uzbekistan will be allocated 15 billion soum ($1.5 million) to develop and revise national normative documents, Trend reports citing Uzbek media.

Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree on additional measures to deepen reforms in the construction industry of Uzbekistan.

The Ministry of Finance was instructed to assist the Ministry of Construction in a month to attract international experts and consultants to reform the construction industry, including the effective organization of work on the development and revision of the national regulatory documents.

The Ministry of Construction should be provided with 15 billion soum ($1.5 million) at the expense of the Reserve Fund of the Cabinet of Ministers for development and revision of national normative documents in 2020, as well as payment for services of international experts and consultants within a month.

During the development of the state budget parameters from 2021 through 2023 it is necessary to provide the necessary funds for the development and revision of the national normative documents, the message said.
