BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 30. Turkmenistan plans to build a new reservoir with a capacity of 90 million cubic meters on the shore of the Turkmenderya Canal in the Dashoguz region and is developing a project for concreting more than 100 kilometers of the Shasenem Canal, Trend reports.
According to the official source of Turkmenistan, 14 high-performance powerful machines are used in construction works carried out in the region, of which 9 are excavators and 5 are bulldozers recently purchased abroad by the Garagum Altyn asyr Turkmen kol gurlushyk enterprise.
Meanwhile, for the improvement of reclamation conditions in the Dashoguz region, the washing of the soil from salt is of great importance, and to solve such an important task, a 9.4-kilometer channel for the removal of salt water will be built.
Turkmenistan is actively working on the construction of reservoirs, which play an important role in providing water supply, irrigation of land and regulation of water resources in the country. The construction of reservoirs is of strategic importance for the development of agriculture, energy and other sectors of the economy of Turkmenistan.
