Azerbaijan, Baku, 23 January / Trend / The Azerbaijani representation of Hewlett Packard announced the completion of the works on the introduction of the company's servers in the Azerbaijani Unibank.
HP has a great experience in Azerbaijan with the cooperative customers like the banking sector, Vladimir Yanukovich, the head of the Cooperative Sales Department of HP on CIS countries said in a press conference on 23 January.
National Bank of Azerbaijan was the first big customer of HP, from the banking sector.
HP has been cooperating with the Unibank for more than three years, Yanukovich said.
Two Intel Itanium rx6600 servers and two Intel Itanium rx3600 servers have been installed within the framework of the project, Rufat Hajialibeyov, the head of the HP representation in Azerbaijan said.
НР Integrity servers have been installed on the basis of the Itanium 2 processors. The advantage of these platforms lies in their compatibility with any of the four operation systems- -UX 11i, Microsoft Windows Server 2003, Linux and OpenVMS. The server Intel Itanium rx6600 is mainly used in the main office of the bank, but the server Intel Itanium rx3600 is used in the Reserve center.
Due to the installation of HP Integrity servers in the bank, an efficient system of the customer management system has been created. Unibank was the first financial institute in the country to introduce robotized bank system " Bа-Bank ST".
