Azerbaijan, Baku, 5 March / Trend corr A. Badalova/ According to forecasts by the United States' state-run Energy Information Administration (EIA), in 2008, the export of Azerbaijani oil will increase by 26% from 2007, making up 1.1mln barrels every 24 hours.
The increase in production and export of oil will take place mainly though the large off-shore field Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG). In 2008, production of the high-gravity oil will comprise 1mln barrels a day.
The sides in the production sharing agreement on Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli field are BP (operator- 34.1%), Chevron (10.2%), SOCAR (10%), INPEX (10%), Statoil (8.6%), ExxonMobil (8%), TPAO (6.8%), Devon (5.6%), ITOCHU (3.9%) and Hess (2.7%).
EIA forecasts a rise in oil supplies from Kazakhstan to 1.56mln barrels a day in 2008, while in 2007 it was 1.45mln barrels a day.
In Turkmenistan, export will comprise 190,000 barrels a day in 2008, and in 2007 it was 180,000 barrels.
The Energy Information Administration, the state-run agency at the US Energy Department, was established by Congress in 1977.
