Azerbaijan Establishing Real Estate E-Archive

Azerbaijan, Baku, 18 July / Trend corr. U.Ismayilova/ Azerbaijan's Real Estate Registration State Service and WB have established a training centre within the joint project on introduction of real estate registration unified system in Azerbaijan, State Service reported on 18 July.

Training centre envisages improvement of qualification of State Service's employees.

At the first training, on 18 July, employees of State Service's regional offices discussed creation of an electronic archive. E-archive will include all data about registered property in Azerbaijan on the basis of State Service's information. The data base will be used to response to state services about state of any real property.

The Azerbaijani Government and WB signed an agreement on the joint introduction of one cadastre real estate system in July 2007. The project comprises four constituents, real estate registration, management and register of state property, base cartography and land cadastre, formation of policy and project management. The cost of the project is $38.57mln with a $30mln WB share. Credit resources were allocated for a term of 20 years through to privileged 5 years.

In June, Azerbaijani Government and German Development Bank KfW signed an agreement on a credit intended for introduction of real estate registration unified system. The project envisages systematic cadastre registration in Ganja and Sheki to introduce registration of land and real estate. Precise coordinates established by geophysical research will be put on the cadastre map. Implementation of the main stage of the project requires 30 months. KfW is ready to allocate a soft credit of 2.5mln euro for establishment of cadastre and a grant of 1mln euro for institutionalization of the beneficiary.
