ABD President Tours Caucasus

Azerbaijan, Baku, November 18/ Trend , corr N.Ismayilova / Haruhiko Kuroda, president of Asian Development Bank (ADB), will visit Georgia, the bank said. On November 29, Kuroda will meet with Grigol Mqaloblishvili, Georgian prime minister and Niko Gilauri, minister of finance.

" Georgia has recently encountered with difficulties, including recovery from global financial crisis. However, ADB and other international agencies are sure that Georgia will cope efficiently with all economic problems," Kuroda said.

President of ADB will sign an agreement on granting of $70mln loan, which are meant to assist Georgia to restore economy after conflict. Loaning resources are granted at an interest rate of 1% for 40 year term.

Georgia is a member of ADB since 2007. The bank comprises 67 member-countries.

Kuroda will arrive in Azerbaijan tomorrow night.
