Azerbaijan, Baku, Dec.12 / Trend corr N. Ismayilova / "Azerbaijani state committee on standardization, metrology and patent has suspended the monitoring of quality of toys made in China," Ramiz Hasanov, general director of the committee, said on Dec.12.
The monitoring aimed to eliminate products of Chinese production, which harm human health, from the Azerbaijani market.
"Presently, the monitoring is suspended as the structure of the committee is not competed yet. It will be resumed as soon as the regulations and the structure of the committee are approved," Hasanov said.
[The state agency on standardization, metrology and patent was liquidated at the decree of the President of Azerbaijan on Nov. 19, 2008 and the committee was formed on its basis]
According to Hasanov, the structure of the committee will be approved within 10 or 15 days.
Monitoring is suspended in all spheres except food market.
