Azerbaijan, Baku, Dec. 16 / Trend , S.Aliyev/ Russian dry-cargo vessel Sarmat-1, which wrecked
in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, will be delivered to a Baku shipyard at 15:00, Baku time, for repairs, Azerbaijan State Maritime Administration said
on Dec.16.
Currently, the Vadim Seyidov vessel of the Caspian Sea Oil Fleet of the State
Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) transports dry cargo to Baku, the
administration said.
Sarmat-1 was sailing from Russian Astrakhan Iranian Anzali loaded with metal
products and lumber (1,750 tons). Steering machine went down on the ship because
of a storm.
The crew of the vessel included 11 members. No victims were reported.
