Azerbaijan, Baku, Jan. 6 / Trend , E.Ismayilov/

"According to preliminary data, irregular loading of carriages was a reason of carriage derailment in Tovuz region of Azerbaijan heading with bauxite cargo from Georgia to Azerbaijan," Press Secretary of the Azerbaijan State Railway (ARS) Nadir Azmammadov said on Jan. 6.

On Dec. 23, four of eight carriages loaded with bauxite routing from Ganja to Sumgayit derailed. Carriages belonged to Georgia. There were not any losses during carriage derailment.

"Under a major version, a reason of the incident was an irregular loading of carriages, as a result of which equilibrium broke. However, at present both of the sides are holding investigations on this incident," Azmammadov said. Results will be announced after revelation of all reasons of the incident.

A special technical inspection commission on security of ASR's traffic is holding investigations from Azerbaijan, Azmammadov said earlier.
